Locations, time, and rest
Track where people have worked and for how long. Use that history to review time at a location and rest needs.
Permanent and temporary locations
A person may work at several places during one assignment. DART records duty stations and other places used during deployment. Authorized staff can maintain permanent and temporary location information.
Physical visits are separate from virtual assignments. Remote work does not add time to a physical-location total.
Cumulative time at a location
Some decisions depend on the total time spent at a place across more than one deployment. Location reports add time across a person’s deployments. Overlapping visits are counted once. Corrections retain the earlier times.
Staff can inspect the rule version used for a report. They can also view time spent at each place during a deployment.
Deployment duration and rest policy
A person’s next assignment needs to account for the work they have just completed. Past assignments affect when a responder can work again. Leave and time away also matter. DART keeps these dates in the work history.
A planning policy sets rest days and maximum deployment duration. Comparing policies shows how those rules affect available staff.
Interpret dates in the right time zone
A local date or time can mean something different to a team in another region. A time zone tells DART how to interpret a local date or time. Availability uses the selected zone. Scheduled classes and operational work keep their relevant time context.
The agency defines its location and duration rules. DART provides the history used to check them. Acceptance tests confirm the result against the approved examples.
