Messages, calls, and notifications
Discuss work with the right people. Track messages and replies without confusing delivery with a response.
An inbox for operational notices
An operational message is most useful when it leads to the work that needs attention. The inbox collects operational notices. A user can open the related work or save the notice for later. Preferences control the notices they receive.
A notice may ask for an acknowledgment or written reply. The sender can inspect those responses. Reading it does not accept an order or finish a daily check.
Direct, team, and cross-organization conversations
The people who need to discuss a task may span several teams. Chats can be direct or group conversations. A group can include several teams or organizations. Owners can change membership and close or reopen the group.
Messages can include files and pictures. Users can also send links or reply in a thread. File downloads still require the right access.
Share the work with its context
A conversation is easier to follow when the people in it can open the work being discussed. A shared conversation connects discussion to a record. Staff can share work such as an incident or class. The reader must still have access to the underlying record.
Sharing a link does not make personnel data public. Record protection continues to apply.
Audio and video
Some work is easier to resolve in a live conversation. Users can start or join audio and video calls. Call controls let them mute the microphone or turn off the camera. The GovCloud call path includes caption controls.
Calls depend on the configured provider and network route. Deployment tests confirm that the intended users can connect and use the required media features.
Queued email and text with receipts
When a notice matters, staff need to know whether delivery failed or a person has yet to answer. Email and text jobs keep each send attempt. Provider receipts show the delivery result. Duplicate or late receipts remain tied to the right attempt.
A failed send has a retry path. Delivery evidence stays separate from the person’s reply. A delivered safety message is not a completed safety check.
